Growing Up - An aside

This is a sorta companion to [link] . ~BlackWaltz0 wrote quite a nice story that you all should go read. If I had a way to make y'all wait until after reading it I'd implement it, but as I don't, maybe this image will bribe you into it?

Right, so, this here is Mara Magemere, a character of my wife's that I'll admit I have a stupid nerd-crush on. In this particular story she's sentenced to bed rest and is combating extreme boredom in addition to her husband sorta neglecting her out of fear. So, uh, yeah, there ya go. She's taken to stacking cups. I'm told this is popular, though I don't believe it.

Seriously, go read. The story's not really about her in the slightest, and the world might not make much sense without having more back story from previous works, BUT, do it anyway, damn it.

At any rate there's something about this picture that makes me feel like I've completely failed to capture anything about the character or scenario, but, I'm told it's okay? Eh. I need to get much, much better. This is probably just the unsatisfied fanboy side talking, though.
